Vocational Training Program

Practical skills that can become income, employment, and independence.

This program equips women with practical skills in sewing, hairdressing, liquid soap making, beading, and cooking. These skill areas are selected based on local market demand and women's interests so graduates can start their own businesses or seek employment in their communities.

What families can expect

Women learn business planning, budgeting, pricing, record keeping, marketing, and savings for enterprises such as tailoring, soap production, catering, and salon services.

This program promotes menstrual health, hygiene, and reproductive rights among adolescent girls and women in vulnerable communities. It provides education on menstruation, puberty, personal hygiene, and reproductive health, while distributing reusable sanitary pads to those who cannot afford basic menstrual products.

Safe early learning while mothers train, work, and rebuild stability.

Rose Flower Daycare supports young mothers by providing a safe, nurturing space for children aged 6 months to 5 years during the day. The daycare offers early childhood education, nutritious meals, and basic health monitoring, while the foundation plans to expand toward a primary school focused on literacy, numeracy, and life skills.

Educational and basic-needs support that helps vulnerable children stay in school.

The Sponsorship Program provides educational and basic needs support to vulnerable children from low-income families. Children receive school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and where necessary, nutritional and health support, reducing pressure on struggling families while helping children continue learning.

What families can expect

Mtoto Salama Program

A child-safety program dedicated to protection, awareness, referral, and psychosocial support.

Mtoto Salama means Safe Child in Swahili. The program supports the safety, protection, and wellbeing of children in vulnerable communities across Arusha through community sensitization, school-based programs, partnerships with local authorities, and training for community members, teachers, and parents to recognize and respond to signs of abuse.
